Developed the print and digital 12-week Future Astronauts Program for kindergarten use, based on real NASA Astronaut training. Also managed the translation of the program into Finnish.
The Future Astronauts Program pedagogy and activities were developed by experienced educators and in cooperation with NASA and Space Nation. The course was developed so that kindergarten teachers could use it in their classrooms to teach children STEAM skills related to real astronaut training. It was also available for parents to use at home with their children.
As our primary audience was teachers, and devices were less prevalent in the classroom based on our user research, we produced this as a print-first project. A digital version was also developed and published online for free access.
The Future Astronauts Program saw use in kindergartens around the world, including Finland, USA, Brazil, China, and Singapore. Activities from it were also used in pop-up kindergartens run by Fun Academy in Suomi Areena and Slush.
